Jet Filter (Pulse-Jet Dust Collector)

PRIMAL Makina Jet Filter Systems are designed to separate dust and fine particles from airflow in feed production facilities. These systems are integrated into aspiration and dust collection lines to help control dust emissions and improve air quality in production environments.

Working Principle

Dust-laden air enters the jet filter housing and passes through the filter elements. Dust and solid particles are captured on the filter surfaces, while filtered air flows toward the outlet.

Dust accumulated on the filter elements is periodically removed using compressed air pulses (Pulse-Jet Cleaning). The separated dust falls into the collection hopper at the bottom of the unit for discharge.

This automatic cleaning process supports continuous filtration and helps maintain the pressure drop across the filter within the required operating range.

Technical Features and Advantages

Effective Dust Filtration: Captures fine dust and particles from the airflow, supporting dust control throughout the production process.

Automatic Pulse-Jet Cleaning: Uses compressed air pulses to remove accumulated dust from filter elements, reducing the need for manual cleaning.

Durable Construction: Filter housing and filter media are selected according to operating conditions and the characteristics of the collected dust.

Continuous Operation: Proper system sizing and automatic cleaning help maintain filtration performance during production.

System Integration: Can be integrated into aspiration, pneumatic conveying, and centralized dust collection systems.

Easy Maintenance: Designed with maintenance access in mind to facilitate filter inspection, cleaning, and replacement.

Applications

  • Feed production facilities
  • Raw material intake and unloading points
  • Grinding and mixing sections
  • Silo and hopper ventilation systems
  • Aspiration and centralized dust collection systems
  • Pneumatic conveying lines

Key Factors in Jet Filter Selection

Selecting the right jet filter requires evaluating several technical parameters, including:

  • Airflow capacity (m³/h)
  • Total filtration area (m²)
  • Air-to-cloth ratio
  • Filter media type
  • Pressure drop (Pa)
  • Compressed air requirements
  • Dust characteristics and operating conditions

Filtration performance depends on particle size, dust concentration, moisture content, filter media, and system operating conditions.

For applications involving combustible dust, dust explosion risks and the necessary protective measures must also be considered during system design.
